Start by moisturizing the exposed scalp in the braid furrow with a light liquid oil (bottled or canned). If the braid is not restricted to the scalp, spray the braids the same or similar light liquid oil. To maintain the hair style overnight, place a silk or cotton scarf around the head. When shampooing, gently massage the scalp with fingertips. To condition your hair and scalp use a leave-in conditioner.
