Hair extensions are great for augmenting length, volume and color. There are a variety of techniques that are employed to facilitate the extension of existing hair:
Weft Hair Weave . This involves sewing wefted hair (hair that has been sewn onto a strip of fabric) onto a braid. This typically lasts for 2 months.
Interlock. A procedure where small pieces of loose extension hair are inter-twined with small cornrow braids. This typically lasts for 2-3 months.
Hair Fusion. This technique uses small pieces of human hair adhered to existing hair using a polymer. This typically lasts for 3 months.
Hair Bonding. This procedure uses wefted human hair adhered to existing hair using a polymer. This typically lasts for 2-3 weeks.
Braids. This method employs loose synthetic or human hair intertwined individually, cornrowed or twisted with existing hair. This typically last for 2-8 weeks, depending on the braid type.
Done Up! offers expertise in all of these hair extension methods. Note that the style longevities are approximate and depend on the rate of hair growth and quality of aftercare. |
